While thinking about how to start a blog earlier I
accidentally witnessed someone having a moment, and that seemed like it was as
good as it was going to get. So, I'm out on a bike ride and I happen to pass by
the local smallish sled hill. As I come up to it, a middle school aged person
is trying to push their own bike up the hill and is obviously frustrated. They
get to the top and start screaming. Guess it was a rough day. This has nothing
to do with the topic of my blog, but a lot to do with life, especially how I've
been feeling about high school lately. It's a ton of work and, as the end
nears, I have a creeping suspicion that will feel the person at the top of the
hill, except I'll have a diploma instead of a bike. Naturally, this thought has
me dreaming about the distant/near future, college but more importantly
afterwards. What will I do? Who will I end up as? All of my dreaming up to this
point has assumed that I will be relatively the same person, and helping others
and animals will still be important to me. I really cannot see this changing,
but my after college financial reality will not be supportive of being
Pocahontas and what not. This blog will hopefully be my journal as I find a way
to balance my finances and my humanitarian desires.
