And the search continues for a “dream job” that is, in a way, something to work towards more than it is a dream . Nevertheless the search continues and the goals are still the same; find a company that I think I could work for, that also provides charitable giving options, preferably volunteer grants. After much searching I’ve discovered it is strangely hard to find information on some businesses charity work. I researched the Detroit BC and could not find anything about matching gifts. Being so unsuccessful with finding a marketing company that matches with my goals, even to dream about, has made me wonder how some of my favorite charities advertise.
Many charities have their own marketing staff, and use the weight of companies names to advertise their products. WWF calls this being a partner, the Humane Society says corporate support. The WWF does a better job with this, they’ve got a more user friendly site which allows the partners to be displayed near the bottom. While all of this has shed some light on how challenging it will be to incorporate my desire for charity into my after college life, I’m starting to wonder how hard it would be to just start what I want. Stay tuned for more of my thoughts!
